Following the NFL draft, teams can then begin to sign players from college who were not drafted. If you're not familiar with Scott Sicko's story, he's a TE out of New Hampshire. Since he wasn't drafted, he gained noteriety from Peter King's MMQB, declaring he was going to go on in his schooling to do his master's degree and PhD in history in order to be a college professor since he wasn't drafted. He then changed his mind and decided to try out for the Dallas Cowboys, one of his pursuers.
